Your in-game journal usually guides you through the episode sequence, although if you’re going for FEATS there are side missions you can pick up from NPCs in the nearby areas. The episodes themselves consist of several missions - usually three or four are in the open world, followed by a major instance containing an End Boss. “Arkham Unleashed”, “Punchline” and “Legacy of Krypton” are examples - the DCUO wiki lists at least 10 of these, although I believe there are a bit more (I’m trying to piece everything together, but i don’t have the complete picture yet).Įach Story Arc consists of two to four EPISODES, if we are to follow what we see in the collection briefings. This really didn’t do anything in terms of leveling up, but it gave Dean a lot of opportunity to familiarize himself with the PC controls - while doing something he likes.
Shortly after taking him past his first episode ( Leveling Up Part 1 – Simian Sucker Punch), I decided to let Dean explore the rest of Metropolis, just to take in the sights, farm some exobytes, and collect whatever investigations and briefings I could. I’ve been leveling up my Fire Tank Hero Flashpoint X steadily during the past few days, and its been a blast.
